Well, it is officially happening Wildcat fans! As we all know EA College Sports Football is returning sometime this summer and now we know exactly which teams we will get the chance to play as.

Kansas State announced on February 22 that they "are in" signaling that are one of 134 featured teams selected for the video game.

Kansas State kept it simple in their announcement, using EA Sports classic "we're in the game" tagline to tell fans they officially made it. All teams in the Big 12 will be featured in the long-anticipated return of the game.

Each team that will be featured is giving their players the choice if they want to be included in the game or not. Players who decide to allow their sign the name, image, and likeness deal with EA Sports will be awarded $600 and a copy of the game.

Players who opt out of the game will be replaced by a generic uniformed player on the field.

I don't know about you Wildcat fans, but I have a lot of fond memories of playing as Kansas State back when the game was around in the early 2000s. EA Sports ceased making new versions of the game due to a fear of litigation claims.

I for one can not wait to see Willie the Wildcats doing his infamous K-S-U chant on the sideline after the Wildcats score touchdown after touchdown against the Kansas Jayhawks.
