Colorado in their first season under NFL Hall of Fame coach Deon Sanders went 4-8 after gaining so much media attention in the offseason. The Buffaloes were able to open up their season 3-0, gaining lots of attention from the rankings, but then went and got destroyed by Oregon 42-6. Colorado finished their season 1-8 in the Pac-12, the worst record in the conference.
The Buffaloes were the third team to announce they were leaving the Pac-12 conference, following USC and UCLA's announcement of leaving for the Big 10. Colorado was the first team to announce they would be leaving for the Big 12, marking their return to the conference since leaving back in 2011.
I believe this will be a trap game for K-State, going on the road against an opponent that struggled heavily under a new head coach last season. I think this is one the Wildcats could easily look past and find themselves suddenly playing from behind. This will probably shock people, but I am going to give this game to Colorado. I think the Wildcats will struggle on the road in the higher altitude and drop this game 24-21 to the Buffaloes.
