Kansas State football 2024 way-too-early Big 12 game-by-game predictions

With the 2024 college football season officially over, it's time for every "way-too-early" list to make headlines. Here are predictions of how Kansas State will fair in each Big 12 matchup.

The BYU Cougars finished their inaugural season in the Big 12 with a 5-7 record, finishing with the second-best record of the four newcomers last year behind UCF. The Cougars got their first Big 12 win over fellow newcomer Cincinnati but got their first win over a Big 12 veteran against Texas Tech.

Like Cincinnati, the Wildcats have not played BYU since the 1990s, dating back to a Cotton Bowl loss to the Cougars on New Year's Day in 1997. The Wildcats have since won three Big 12 championships, and are a much more experienced team in the Big 12.

Just like any of the young Big 12 teams, I think BYU needs a few more years to recruit and get used to playing in a more physical Big 12 conference. I am going to give the WIldcats an easy win here, even though I believe the Cougars will put up a fight for the first half, the Cats will pull away int he second half. I have the Wildcats winning 27-14 over BYU.
