Kansas State football 2024 way-too-early Big 12 game-by-game predictions

With the 2024 college football season officially over, it's time for every "way-too-early" list to make headlines. Here are predictions of how Kansas State will fair in each Big 12 matchup.

This is a rivalry Kansas State fans look forward to every season. The Sunflower Showdown is a highly anticipated game for both teams, even though the Wildcats have dominated the Jayhawks for 15 straight years. Only until the last two season have the Wildcats felt some real competition from the Jayhawks.

Touching the rankings for the first time in 2022, the Jayhawks have caught media attention, including hosting College Gameday in 2022 versus TCU. However, the Wildcats still dominated in their late-season game that year 47-27. In 2023, Kansas kept the game a lot closer putting a little fear in the hearts of K-State fans, but the Wildcats held on for a four-point victory 31-27.

Will this be the year the Jayhawks finally get back into the win column versus the Wildcats? Well as a born Kansas State, now converted UCF fan, I still view the Jayhawks as bitter rivals and don't see K-State giving up their win streak just yet. I will give the Wildcats a narrow three-point victory with a game-winning field goal at the end 33-30.
