Kansas State and BYU will be playing each other for the first time since 1996. BYU was one win shy of making it to a bowl game in their first season in the Big 12. While I think the Cougars can be a force to be reckoned with in the future, they need a little more time to get there.
Kansas State will be rolling with a new offense at this point with Avery Johnson leading the passing game and DJ Giddens rolling in the rushing game. Even though this game is away, I think Kansas State will be able to walk away with the win in this one. This will be Johnson's first true road test in the Big 12, so it will be interesting to see how he adapts in that environment.
Kansas State is going to start the season 4-0 and they are going to get there by coming in a win a close one at BYU.
