Three-seed Kansas State women's basketball is set to take on two-seed Texas in the semifinals of the Big 12 Women's Tournament today. This will be the third time these teams will meet this season, each team taking the win on the home court during regular season.

In the first matchup between these teams, Kansas State held Texas off till, the end but it was a close hard-fought battle between both teams. Ayoka Lee went off for 21 points in this game along with 10 rebounds and four blocks. Serena Sundell added 12 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the Wildcats win.

Madison Booker from Texas had herself a day at K-State as well with 23 points, five rebounds, and four assists, along with 7 for 7 from the free throw line.

This was the game where Lee injured her ankle which would result in surgery and her absence from the court for a month. So, the Wildcats were without Lee in the matchup at Texas where they lost 54-61. Serena Sundell had 14 points on the day and eight assists, but the leading scorer on the team in this game came from the bench. Eliza Maupin had 18 points going a perfect 7 for 7 from the field. The Wildcats' loss would be their second in a row following a 14-game win streak.

Both teams have come a long way since these two matchups. Kansas State won a close battle against West Virginia in the quarterfinals while Texas had a solid win over Kansas.

Players to watch from both teams will be Booker from Texas and Lee from Kansas State. If both teams can get thier leading scorers going, it this could end up being a high-scoring affair. If other players can get as involved, it could be anyone's game.
