Darren Sproles will go down as one of the best running backs in Kansas State history. Sproles played at Kansas State from 2001 to 2004 under Bill Snyder. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
In the NFL, Sproles redefined the running back position with his small size and stature. Sproles did not contribute a lot in his rookie season and was sidelined in his second season due to injury. After that, Sproles took off. He spent 15 years in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2017. He retired after the 2019 season.
Sproles in his career had 3,552 career rushing yards, 23 rushing touchdowns, 4,840 receiving yards, and 32 receiving touchdowns.
