Steve Grogan is at the top of this list, and he was not even the best quarterback to go through Kansas State. Grogan played at Kansas State from 1972 to 1974. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fifth round of the 1975 NFL Draft.
In the NFL, Grogan became the instant starter for the Patriots. He never gave up the starting position until his final season in 1990. Grogan may never have won any MVPs or All-Pro nominations, but he was a consistent quarterback who always kept his team competing.
Grogan spent 15 years all with the Patriots and ended his career with 26,886 passing yards and 182 total touchdowns.
