This was the 22nd home sellout game for the Wildcats and it was also a thriller for everyone there. Even though the Wildcats were not ranked for this game, early home games were always the place to be during football season.

K-State and Louisiana Tech took this game down to the wire going to three overtimes. This was only the second overtime game to ever be played at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The 53,540 people in attendance definitely got what they payed for as Kansas State gave them a game to remember.
