Linebackers

Brett Venables

Brett Venables was one of the great linebackers to hit the field for the Wildcats. However, now he is most known for standing on the sideline for the Oklahoma Sooners as their head coach.

Brooks Barta

Brooks Barta was an absolute monster on the field for Kansas State. He ranks second all-time at Kansas State with 436 total tackles and 281 assisted tackles. He was also a four-time First Team All-Big 8 selection.

Arthur Brown

Arthur Brown was almost a part of the Miami scandal back in the 2010s. However, he was not involved and came to play at Kansas State for Bill Snyder. Brown in his senior season recorded 151 total tackles, 10 sacks, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Mark Simoneau

Mark Simoneau joins Dalton Risner as one of the three players in Kansas State history to be named a three-team captain. He recorded 400 total tackles, ranking him third in school history. Simoneau also had 53 tackles for loss and eight forced fumbles. In 1999 he won Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year where he had 15.5 sacks and seven fumble recoveries.
