The 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship is still a little ways away. We are currently in our third week of conference games, but it is never too early to start thinking about March.
The tournament will take place at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The tournament has been held in Kansas City since 2010. The tournament will span from March 12-16, 2024.
This will be the first Big 12 men's basketball tournament with the new 14-team conference, but also the last one with the 14 teams before Oklahoma and Texas depart, and Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah join. Next year the Big 12 will debut a 16-team field for the tournament.
Seeding for the tournament will be decided at the end of the regular season, but here is how each game will matchup based on seeding.
Tuesday, March 12 - First Round
Game 1: No. 12 Seed vs. No. 13 Seed, 11:30 a.m. CT
Game 2: No. 11 Seed vs. No. 14 Seed, 2:00 p.m. CT
Wednesday, March 13 - Second Round
Game 3: No. 5 Seed vs. Game 1 Winner, 11:30 a.m. CT
Game 4: No. 8 Seed vs. No. 9 Seed, 2 p.m. CT
Game 5: No. 7 Seed vs. No. 10 Seed, 6 p.m. CT

Thursday, March 14 - Quarterfinals

All games will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with select games chosen for EPSN and ESPN2.
Last year's champion the Texas Longhorns will look to defend their title. With the tournament-style championship, even the lowest-seeded team has a chance to win it all. The team that wins the Big 12 men's basketball championship will get an automatic bid to the NCAA March Madness Tournament.
