Big 12 power rankings. . . 13. 540. . . . .

Next is the second Cougar mascot BYU in these power rankings. The Cougars were the only newcomer that didn't come from the American Athletic Conference so it was a toss-up how they were adjust to the Big 12.

However, the Cougars didn't do much in portal losing just two guys in the spring window and bringing in quarterback transfer McCae Hillstead out of Utah State. The Cougars lost quarterback Ryder Burton late in the window as he entered on the last day.

There is be a quarterback battle in Provo this offseason, and as long as the Cougars can keep their prolific ground game going this season, they could do better than most expect. They still need time to grow in the Big 12 however.
