Big 12 power rankings. . . . . 1. . . . 465

As the teams that went against Texas in the 2023 Big 12 Championship, it is no surprise that the Cowboys are at the top of these power rankings unfortunately. With thier biggest rivals Texas nad Oklahoma leaving, the Cowboys are set up for success in the Big 12.

Now, they will still have stiff competition with Kansas State, Kansas, and the newcomers from the Pac-12, but bringing back a lot of the key players from 2023 including running back standout Ollie Gordon, who led college football in rushing yards, helps a lot.

The defense still is a question mark for the Cowboys, but Oklahoma State traded one for one in the spring window, which shows that these players want to stick around. Oklahoma State is the favorite in a lot of rankings in the Big 12 and it isn't without good reason.
