UCF is showing that they can be a monster in the transfer portal all offseason. Head coach Gus Malzahn clearly knows how to run the program in sunny Orlando, Florida as he has had no issues bringing in transfers since he took the position.

Back in January, the Knights landed Arkansas quarterback transfer KJ Jefferson to replace John Rhys Plumlee who ran out of eligibility. With backup QB Timmy McClain transferring out in the spring window, Malzahn already addressed that issue by bringing in Miami transfer Jacurri Brown.

Even though eight players left in the portal, none were incredibly key players and Malzahn did his due diligence by bringing in seven players himself. UCF was the best newcomer in 2023, and the seem to be on the upward trajectory in 2024.
