The spring transfer portal is officially closed and Kansas State made a bigger splash in the spring window than they did in the winter window.

With the transfer portal officially closed and not to open again until after next season, players are cemented to where they are and depth charts can begin formally to be made. The Wildcats are one of the favorites in the Big 12 next season, however, their activity in the transfer portal as a whole is a little puzzling.

With the Big 12 losing Oklahoma and Texas next season and gaining Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah next season, the conference will have a very different look. Here are the power rankings for the Big 12 after the portal has officially closed.

Arizona State was not the worst team in the Pac-12 last season, that spot belonged to fellow new Big 12 member Colorado. However, the Sun Devils tied for the second worst record in 2023 finishing 3-9 overall and 2-7 in the Pac-12.

The Sun Devils were hit hard by the transfer portal overall, especially in the spring window. They lost a total of 11 players in the month of May and only brought in two players to help fill the holes.

This team struggled in 2023 and it looks like they could struggle again in 2024 with little improvement on the roster.
