Houston came into the Big 12 knowing that basketball was where they were going to be the best. Well, that is at least what they thought. The Cougars are in the same boat as Kanas right now with two losses in conference play.

The Cougars lost back-to-back games against Iowa State and TCU to go down 1-2 in conference play. They have bounced back since beating the top team in the conference Texas Tech and then showing out against UCF.

I gave Houston a higher ranking due to their game against UCF, a team Kansas wasn't able to beat. They only allowed 14 points to the Knights in the first half, holding them to 15.9% shooting throughout the game, the lowest shooting percentage in Big 12 history. They dominated and showed they are still a force in this conference.

Going forward, Houston takes on BYU and Kansas State, two good teams in the conference. If they can take down both of these opponents, they could shoot to the top of these rankings.
