Last Week: 2

This was a tough week for the Wildcats. They went to Iowa State and Houston, two teams that are both undefeated at home and have the top two defenses in the Big 12. It was going to be a tough task for Kansas State to win these games, but they had a chance against Iowa State.

I am going to just go ahead and say the Houston game was never close and the Wildcats were out of that game in the first half, so we can go ahead and just move on from that game. However, the game before that against Iowa State was a winnable game for the Wildcats. While they never took the lead, K-State tied this game on multiple occasions, but could never get over the tall task of the Cyclones.

K-State lives behind their defense late in games, that is how they beat Baylor and that is how they kept the game with Iowa State close, but in the last couple minutes of the game, that defense broke down and Iowa State exploited the youth of the Wildcats. Jerome Tang is a great coach, but he can't go out there and play for his team. I think Kansas State will bounce back this week, they had a tough couple of games. However, back-to-back losses force me to drop them in the power rankings.
