Believe it or not, Kansas State football has never played these FBS teams

Kansas State football vs. Sun-Belt

The Sun-Belt by far has the most teams Kansas State has not faced with nine teams. It is probably due to distance and the fact that a lot of these teams are so young in the FBS.

James Madison Dukes: The 2023 season was the Dukes' first season in the FBS, so they need time to get established before they end up on Kansas State's schedule one day.

Appalachian State Mountaineers: The Mountaineers are still a younger team in the Sun-Belt joining in 2014. It could be a good on-conference opponent for Kansas State, the programs just need time to set it up.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers: Like Appalachian State, these schools are not super far in distance, so that is probably not a factor in this. They only started playing football in 2003 and joined the FBS in 2017, so give it time to happen.

Ole Dominion Monarchs: Distance is probably more of a factor here, but they, like a lot of teams in the Sun-Belt, are young in the FBS joining in 2015.

Georgia State Panthers: This matchup is not completely out of the question, but the Wildcats haven't even played their two big brothers Georgia Tech or Georgia yet, they will probably get those teams in the schedule or in the postseason before they see this team.

Georgia Southern Eagles: Same as above.

Texas State Bobcats: With how many teams Kansas State plays in Texas, this is surprising. Yes, the Bobcats have only been in the FBS since 2012, but you would think this would be a big matchup Texas State would be willing to get. Maybe it will be in the works in the future.

South Alabama Jaguars: The Jaguars played their first football game in 2009, and joined the FBS in 2012. A matchup is not impossible, just may not be on either team's radar at this time.

Southern Miss Golden Eagles: The Golden Eagles have been in the FBS since the '60s, so the fact that there hasn't been any matchup might just be because there is no interest. A likely matchup would be in the postseason, but who knows if or when these teams will ever meet.
