Believe it or not, Kansas State football has never played these FBS teams

Kansas State football vs. Conference USA

A lot of these Conference USA teams are newer to the FBS so that would be a big factor as to why the Wildcats have not gotten them on the schedule.

Liberty Flames: Liberty itself is a young school founded in 1971 and only started playing football in 1973. They only joined the FBS in 2018 and in the past few years showed they can compete. If they continue to strengthen their resume, a date with Kansas State could be on the horizon.

Jacksonville State Gamecocks: The Gamecocks are yet another team that joined the FBS recently in 2023. Give this team time to play a little with the big dogs and maybe they can get on Kansas State's schedule soon.

Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders: The Blue Raiders have been playing football since 1911 but joined the FBS as an independent in 1999. They joined Conference USA in 2013 and have won three of their past four bowl games since 2017. With how close these teams are, administrators could have an interest in setting this one up.

Sam Houston Bearkats: Sam Houston only joined the FBS this past year in 2023, so it is no surprise they have not met with the Wildcats just yet. The Bearkats need more experience before getting on the Wildcats' schedule.
