Kansas State is set to take on UT Martin for the first time in program history in Week 1. The Wildcats are opening their season and going for their seventh win in the last eight years. There is so much excitement round this game as it means football is back, but fans will finally get a good look at this new team, especially since there was no spring game again this year.

The majority of the excitement is obviously centered around seeing what Avery Johnson can do in a full season. He is only the fifth sophomore to take over the starting duties since 1990 at Kansas State.

While this game may not be one that should be too much of a test for K-State, this is a game the Wildcats can use to gel and figure out things together as a team. If the Wildcats get up big enough, Johnson will most likely come out of the game to protect him from unnecessary injury.

Having good announcers can help with the experience of the game. So here are a few things you need to know for the best gameday experience either at home or at the game.
