Kansas State had a big win over Arizona in Week 3, but now it is time to turn the page on that game and focus on this week's game against BYU. The Cougars aren't going to care that the Wildcats put a beat down on Arizona at home, all they care about, is someone is coming into their house and plans to leave with the win.

For anyone thinking this will be an easy win, they need to think again. Kansas State is going into a hostile environment in Provo, Utah, especially with it being a night game. Avery Johnson has yet to play in a truly hostile environment for a full game in his career. The young sophomore did have a trip to New Orleans against Tulane, and the fans were loud, but that is nothing compared to Provo at night.

The Wildcats are 3-2 in Big 12 openers under head coach Chris Klieman, with two wins over then-ranked Oklahoma and a close victory over UCF in 2023. This in no way is considered a "cupcake" game, as BYU is also coming in 3-0 like the Wildcats.

Wildcat fans should have no issues watching the game on ESPN this weekend, they just might have a tough time staying awake till the end.

  • Play-by-play: Dave Flemming
  • Color Commentary: Brock Osweiler
  • Sideline reporter: Stormy Buonantony

With the game on ESPN this week, Kansas State and BYU will get a solid group of broadcasters calling their game. Dave Flemming is a long-time ESPN broadcaster who has called several MLB games, golf matches, college basketball, and college football. He is joined by former NFL quarterback Brock Osweiler in the booth, along with Stormy Buonantony on the sidelines talking with players and coaches.

The game, of course, can always be listened to on the K-State Sports Network, with the normal team calling the game in case you can't be in front of your TV watching.
