Easton Kilty was one of the four players Chris Klieman brought in through the first window of the transfer portal. With the majority of the offensive line moving on either to lack eligibility or moving onto the NFL, Klieman had to figure out how he was going to build his line for 2024.
In the Chris Klieman era, Kansas State has been known to have a big-man offensive line that can create great running lanes for backs to squeeze through to have a prolific running game. Since Klieman has used the same lineman for the majority of his time at Kansas State, he may have to change the look of it just a bit going forward.
Kilty, however, is the perfect addition to Klieman's ideal offensive line with his ability to get to rushers and protect the quarterback well. Kilty is an important player because Klieman will have a veteran to build his young line around. Kilty will also have the job of protecting prized quarterback Johnson from opposing rushers.
