Jayce Brown is the only offensive player on this list who has played with Avery Johnson before. Brown and Johnson even connected in the Pop-Tarts Bowl for a touchdown that gave the Wildcats a commanding lead to pretty much seal the win. Brown also leads the Wildcats in receiving yards that game with 52 yards on 5 receptions
Brown was solid in his first season even starting the final six games of the season as a freshman. He recorded a modest 437 yards on 27 receptions averaging 16.2 yards per catch and three touchdowns.
Brown is one of the most important if not the most important wide receivers on this roster because as I mentioned earlier, he has experience playing with Johnson. Especially with both Johnson and BRown coming in the same year, these two have clearly built a relationship on the field and Johnson feels very comfortable throwing to Brown.
Brown also knows this Kansas State offense now that he has played in the schemes for a season. Granted, things might change with the offensive line having a different look this season, but as long as they can give Johnson enough time to throw the ball to Brown, he could see his numbers jump significantly in year two.
