Daniel Thomas was one Wildcat and Dolphin fans had high hopes for. Thomas was an amazing running back coming out of Kansas State in 2011. He had close to 3,000 yards in his college career and seems like a great fit for the Dolphin offense. The Dolphins even traded up spots and traded away multiple picks to pick up Thomas.
Thomas was not the lead back in Miami, splitting touches with Reggie Bush and he only managed to make two starts, but he impressed those around him. However, Thomas did sustain a hamstring injury late in his first season. Then in 2012, the Dolphins drafted Lamar Miller to ignite Thomas, but the attempt failed.
In his four-year career, Thomas only had 1,480 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, the majority of which came in his first season. After not being signed back by the Dolphins, Thomas spent one year and Chicago before ending up back in Miami and being apart of the final roster cuts.
