College football season is officially upon us as Week 0 begins this week.

Kansas State fans unfortunately have to wait another week however to see the Wildcats on the field. The good news is that there will be college football on Saturdays from now until 2025.

With a new season comes a new College Football Playoff format. the playoff is officially moving to a 12-team format that will have the Power Four conference champions, a Group of Five champion, and the next seven best teams.

With the AP Top 25 poll out, Georgia and Ohio State are running the show yet again this season, but other teams are nipping at their heels. Conference newcomers such as Texas and Oregon are hungry to prove themselves, and previous conference champs such as Florida State are ready to prove the haters wrong.

With a new CFP format, everyone loves to try and predict who will be in come the end of the season, and that is exactly what we are gonna do too. Here is my preseason prediction of who will make the College Football Playoff at the end of the season.

Georgia and Ohio State are running the show in the AP Top 25 and here in my CFP prediction. These two teams are the teams to beat in both conferences and teams like Michigan, Oregon, Texas, adn Alabama are going to have to show up to beat them.

The SEC is leading the way in this prediction with four teams in the mix with the Big Ten coming in close with three teams. The Big 12 has the ability to have more than one team in the mix against what a lot of people think. Kansas State and Utah don't face each other in the regular season and could see each other in the conference championship undefeated.

The ACC only has one team in the mix with how weak the conference is and the Group of Five will probably realistically only get one team in with Boise State being ranked the highest.
