Saturday’s game will air live on FOX at 1:30 p.m. CT, and will also stream on the FOX Sports app.

Last time out

K-State erased a six-game losing streak with a 90-74 victory at home against Baylor. It was their second win of conference play and the largest margin of victory since taking down South Dakota 106-76 on Dec. 20.

Matthew Driscoll coached his first game as the Wildcats’ interim head coach, earning his first victory as a Big 12 head coach against Scott Drew, who he’d spent six seasons with alongside former head coach Jerome Tang from 2003-09.

Nate Johnson scored a career-high 33 points, trailing only PJ Haggerty who ended the game with 34. Haggerty led the team in points for the 15th consecutive contest in a game K-State never trailed.

The pair also became the first duo since Bill Walker and Michael Beasley in 2008 to each score 30 or more points in a single game, a mark that also happened against Baylor, but on the road that season.

Texas Tech was upset on the road in its last game against Arizona State, losing 72-67 after Big 12 Player of the Year frontrunner JT Toppin exited the game with a torn ACL. Toppin led all scorers for the Red Raiders with 20 prior to exiting, leading three scorers in double figures.

What the analytics say

According to ESPN Analytics, the Red Raiders are 89.8% favorites to win on Saturday. Both teams average 80 or more points per game and shoot 46% from the field, but the Wildcats average slightly more steals at 7.1 per game.

An upset win could also mark the first win against a ranked opponent for K-State.
