Two Kansas State post players have entered the transfer portal creating a significant void in Head Coach Jerome Tang’s roster for next season, according to media reports.

Centers Ugonna Onyenso and Baye Fall are the latest players to leave Manhattan. They follow forward Macaleab Rich and starting guard Brendan Hausen, who have also chosen to play elsewhere next season.

Onyenso, a 7-footer who transferred to K-State after two years at Kentucky, struggled to consistently find minutes last season, averaging 2.8 points and 2.4 rebounds across 24 games.

Fall, a 6-foot-11 inch sophomore, began his career at Arkansas before playing for the Cats. He played in only four games, averaging 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds.

Both transfers were expected, according to The Wichita Eagle. They'll now hope to have more success at the next school.

The two big men were both four star recruits coming out of high school and still offer plenty of potential for their next school. They just won't get to show it in Manhattan.

For Coach Tang, it creates two roster spots for next season that'll need to be filled. With starting big men David N'Guessan and Coleman Hawkins also out of eligibility, there's an even bigger importance now to come away with plug and play big men from the transfer portal.

K-State did recently receive a commitment from Abdi Bashir, a 6-foot-7 sophomore guard from Omaha, Nebraska.

K-State finished this past season 16-17 overall and 9-11 in the Big 12, tying for ninth in the conference. They failed to make the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year.
