One post, two sports, and a growing offer sheet — East St. Louis (Mo.) standout Jahidi White Jr. took to social media Wednesday to announce his latest basketball offer, this time from Kansas State.

The 6-foot-8 forward shared the news with a short message to his followers.

“Blessed to receive an offer from K State for basketball!! 🏀,” White posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

White, a 220-pound prospect in the Class of 2026, continues to gain traction on the recruiting trail as a dual-sport athlete.

In addition to his basketball interest, he holds football offers from Washington State and several others, according to his social media.

On the basketball court, White has earned offers from programs like Iowa, Murray State, and Loyola.

Known for his physical presence in the paint, he fits the profile of the type of frontcourt talent Kansas State has been targeting in upcoming classes.

The Wildcats have also offered four-star center Ethan Taylor — the No. 1 player in Missouri and the No. 3 big man nationally — and hosted him for a visit earlier this summer. The program still has open scholarships for the 2025 class.

Kansas State is entering a pivotal season under head coach Jerome Tang, who is looking to return the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament after missing out in back-to-back years.

Only three scholarship players return: point guard David Castillo and forwards Mobi Ikegwuruka and Taj Manning.

K-State reloaded through the transfer portal, adding MAC Player of the Year Nate Johnson (Akron), Bowling Green’s Marcus Johnson (16.2 PPG), and Memphis guard PJ Haggerty, a second-team All-American.

Other newcomers include Khamari McGriff (UNC Wilmington), Abdi Bashir (Omaha), international signees Elias Rapieque and Kostic, and 6-foot-11 JUCO big man Stephen Osei, who is expected to redshirt.

The Wildcats finished 16–17 overall and 9–11 in Big 12 play last season, tying for ninth in the conference.
