The college football season is here, Kansas State fans, and your Wildcats get to kick everything off their their Week 0 matchup in Dublin, Ireland against the No. 22 Iowa State Cyclones. This will not only be the first game of the season, but the first ranked matchup of the season with the No. 22 Cyclones taking on the No. 17 Wildcats.
With the new season comes new trends in the Big 12, including availability reports for conference games. So this matchup brought about the first-ever official injury report for the conference, and they certainly weren't short. For the first game of the season, both teams' reports certainly were lengthy, but there is one name on the report that Kansas State fans won't be happy to see under the "Out" designation.
Five-star freshman tight end Linkon Cure has been dealing with a minor knee injury throughout fall camp, and it is apparently bad enough to keep him off the field for the first game of the season. Cure was a huge pickup for the Wildcats last offseason, and he has been a highly anticipated player to see this season, but fans are going to have to wait a little longer.

Cure was not the only name fans won't be happy to see under the "out" designation. Transfer offensive tackle George Fitzpatrick from Ohio State will also be missed this season. After an undisclosed medical emergency at fall camp occurred, the former Buckeye also won't see the field for his first action in a Wildcat uniform.
While Kansas State will be out some key players, Iowa State will as well, so this matchup is still considered to be very close and should be a great game to watch. Kansas State and Iowa State always seem to know how to put on a great game, and with this one being in Dublin, Ireland, there is no doubt this will be another big installment between these two teams.
