With wide receiver recruiting heating up in the 2026 cycle, Kansas State is making moves—offering prospect Maxwell Lovett after a strong camp performance.
The Cherry Creek (Englewood, Colo.) standout announced on social media that he picked up the offer following his showing in Manhattan.
“After a great camp and conversation with @CoachKli and @Coach_Middleton, I am blessed to announce I have received an offer from Kansas State University!!” Lovett posted Sunday on X.

Lovett, listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class. He caught 39 passes for 627 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior last season.
A smooth route-runner with dependable hands, Lovett creates separation and makes plays at all levels of the field.
He holds offers from Oregon State, Colorado State, Boston College, UConn and others. He’s rated an 85 overall by 247Sports and ranks as the No. 17 player in his state and the No. 243 wideout nationally in the cycle.
Kansas State has made wide receiver a clear recruiting priority, especially with rising quarterback Avery Johnson in place. The Wildcats have already added transfers Jerand Bradley (Texas Tech), Caleb Medford (TCU), and Jaron Tibbs (Purdue) to bolster the receiving corps for 2025.
K-State recently missed on four-star WR Mason James, who committed to Washington after listing the Wildcats in his final five.
But in the era of NIL and the transfer portal, early relationships matter—especially with a player like Lovett or James, who could circle back down the road.
