The NFL draft is less than 2 weeks away. The stock of one Kansas State player continues to move up on mock draft boards.

After what Jordan Willis accomplished for the Wildcats last season he continues to amaze NFL scouts.

Will he go in the first round of the NFL draft? One mock draft board says yes.

This week, Pete Prisco included Willis in the first round of his mock draft for CBS.

He hinted that Willis would be a great first round pick for New Orleans. The Saints have two first round picks.

As a matter of fact, there is a lot of competition at the defensive position in this draft.

According to a media release from Kansas State, Coach Bill Snyder believes the NFL guys are finally waking to just how good Willis is.

"“I talked to Jordan the other day. I am quite certain, he did not tell me, but I am quite certain that he will be a very high choice. It is going to be quite interesting to me if he becomes the first defensive end selected in the draft. He is some very tall company there. I think what the NFL has learned about him has put him in a good position. I think he will go pretty high.”"

Yes tall company.

Even so, Willis impressed the scouts and many others during the NFL Combine. His 40-yard dash time of 4.53 was among the fastest among the group of Defensive Linemen and Linebackers.

Willis’s vertical jump was 39 compared to 41 for projected overall first round NFL pick Myles Garrett of Texas A&M

His 20-yard shuttle time was 4.28, among the best of the group.

More from Jug of Snyder

Take these numbers and add to it what Willis did at the Senior Bowl and he certainly should be a first-round pick.

You remember during the Senior Bowl workouts, Willis made a huge impression on scouts.
He was also named the South-squad’s Most Outstanding Player. He had two sacks and two forced fumbles to lead his team to victory.

I will be surprised if Willis is not taken very early on draft day.
