Kellis Robinett of the Kansas City Star reported today that the Kansas State Wildcats are interested in Duke University transfer Semi Ojeleye.

The 6-foot, 8-inch forward is from Ottawa, Kan. and has ties to the K-State program.

Older brother Victor played for the Wildcats from 2008-12.

But there is a catch to all this though … Kansas State doesn’t have a scholarship to give, according to Robinett.

Semi is averaging three points and 2.3 rebounds through six games for the Blue Devils this season.

If the Wildcats can find a way to get around the no scholarship issue, Ojeleye would be a nice addition to coach Bruce Weber’s squad.

Ojeleye is a familiar name to Wildcat fans and brings additional depth to K-State’s post play.

It is going to be tough task for them to land him. The likes of KU, Wichita State, Missouri among others are also undoubtedly interested in the soon-to-be transfer.
