Kansas State Cruises To 48-14 Win Over Oklahoma State
By Dan Hughes
The Oklahoma State Cowboys came right out of the gate and scored a touchdown in the opening four minutes. They also scored the final touchdown. But Kansas State dominated the time in between as the 9th-ranked Wildcats cruised to a 48-14 win in Manhattan, Kansas Saturday night.
Running back Tyreek Hill was unstoppable in Oklahoma State’s opening drive. Five runs for 36 yards and a 34-yard reception by Hill culminated in a 2-yard TD run to jump out to an early 7-0 lead.
But then, on the ensuing kickoff, Wildcat DB Morgan Burns took the kick 86 yards for the score, tying the game at 7-7.
It was all Kansas State after that.
Wildcats QB Jake Waters finished the night completing 19 of 28 passes for 223 yards and 2 TD in the air and another 34 yards on the ground as the Wildcats improved to 7-1 (5-0 Big 12) on the season.
The Wildcats now head to No. 7 TCU who beat No. 20 West Virginia 31-30 in double overtime on Saturday.
