Kansas State Versus West Virginia: Game Time, Where To Watch, And More
By Dave Thoman

Oh how things can change in a year. Last October this was the battle of titans. An undefeated K-State team was traveling to Morgantown to face the Mountaineers. While West Virginia was unexpectedly upset the weekend before, the squad was still a top-15 team and Geno Smith was still in position to win a Heisman. K-State’s quarterback would travel to New York to finish among the top three in Heisman voting that season. In 2013, the Wildcats stand at 2-4 (0-3), and host a West Virginia squad 3-4 (1-3) in what may be a race to finish .500 and qualify for a bowl game while the opponent stays home. Oh how things can change in a year.
Game Time: Kick-off is scheduled for 3:45 ET/2:45 CT. I have no idea why this game isn’t just pushed back or forward another 15 minutes, but football shouldn’t be starting at a quarter ’til. Programming conflicts, I guess. I want my next game to be at noon, but the Iowa State conflict is at 2:30.
Television: Viewers can turn into Fox Sports I to watch K-State snatch its first Big 12 victory this season.
Weather Conditions: While autumn has certainly arrived, Manhattan is expected to have a high of 62º this afternoon and clear skies. Bring a jacket and gloves, but it remains a beautiful fall day for football.
What To Watch: K-State finally puts one in the win column. Also, check out Shane Summers’ key match up here. And here’s our broader game preview.
Intangibles: Tyler Lockett and Tramaine Thompson should be returning – two players whose impact is difficult to fully measure. I do know the special teams play will get a real shot in the arm. So crack open a cold beverage appropriate for your age, make sure the fridge is properly stocked, and get ready celebrate the state of a new Wildcat winning streak en route to another bowl season.
