MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s golfer Hanna Roos recently won the District Championship Tournament in her native country, Sweden, at Arlandstadt GC in Roserberg.

Roos, a senior for the 2012-13 season, shot a 36-hole score of 145, winning the event by five strokes over Ebba Sandstrom.

“A win is always good news,” head coach Kristi Knight said. “Hanna played well at the Big 12 Championship and is excited that her solid ball striking continues and her putting is continually improving.”

A product of Uppsala, Sweden, Roos finished the 2011-12 season with a 77.56 stroke average in nine events with two top-20 finishes. Her best finish last year was a tie for 12th at the Westbrook Spring Invitational when she carded a 1-over par 217. She also led K-State at the Big 12 Championship by placing 15th at 20-over par 230.
