I didn’t expect Kansas State to be in this spot really at all this season (except for maybe in the final games for the Big 12 championship) but here we are. This is as important a game in my mind as any other we will play. Another loss could surround the team with a funk that includes self pity. A win would be a nice reward for a little improvement which was seen at Texas A&M and might be able to kick start something.
This game should be a win. It’s in the Octagon of Doom against a team that has been struggling just as much as anyone else right now. Baylor is sitting at 13-5 (3-2) and has had the same fate of going from ranked to nothing. They are coming off a big win over Oklahoma State but they have also lost to a few opponents that K-State has wins over already. Anything but a W, big or little, pretty or ugly, is going to be awful.
