Kansas State Coach Bruce Weber Finishes Filling Out Coaching Staff
By Jameson
Chester Frazier, who was a standout player for Weber at Illinois, will fill the final spot on Weber’s coaching staff. He was chosen over KSU alum Anthony Beane, who is currently an assistant coach with Illinois State.
Beane had long been considered one of the top candidates for the job, but Frazier was chosen based upon his east coast recruiting ties, as well as his familiarity with Weber’s system
Frazier, 26, previously served as graduate assistant and video coordinator under Weber at Illinois, before heading overseas to play for Wurzburg’s S.Oliver Baskets. Once that team’s season ends, Frazier will officially accept the position and relocate to Manhattan.
