Former Kansas Stater Called Up By The Colorado Rockies

Former K-State pitcher, Carlos Torres, was called up by the Rockies on Friday.

This will be Torres’ third time in the majors. He had compiled a 2-1 record, with a 2.88 ERA in five starts at Colorado Springs, the Rockies Triple A affiliate. Torres’ record in his two previous call-ups (both with the Chicago White Sox) is 1-3 with an ERA of 6.86.

Torres spent one season (2004) with the Wildcats, making 15 starts (in 16 total appearances), with 6 wins and a 4.12 ERA.
