Nebraska: Receiving votes in both AP & Coaches Poll

Who would have guessed that would be true coming into this game?! I guess that’s what happens when you actually have to play the games. Kansas State (14-8, 2-5) returns home tonight to face a Nebraska team (15-5, 3-3) that has a better overall and conference record and is quite honestly playing much better basketball right now. K-State needs to grab ahold of this game and get a win at home not only to put out the fire that was the KU game, but to keep on schedule to finishing at .500 in conference.  A loss could be disastrous. Even though the season has been much less than expected, there isn’t one “bad loss” on the tournament resume. Losing tonight might change that. While Nebraska is obviously improved this year and has mastered the art of slowing the game down… way down, the Wildcats should be able to pull this one out at home.
