3. Who is going to separate themselves in the muddy race for the #1 running back spot

As it stands right now there are three possible options at running back for the Wildcats and, in typical Snyder fashion, Bill hasn’t given us a clue as to who the front runner is for the number one spot on the depth chart.

DeMarcus Robinson, Jarvis Leverett and Charles Jones are the three running backs in contention for the top spot, although true freshmen Dalvin Warmack may play a factor in Snyder’s decision when he steps onto campus this fall.

As of right now DeMarcus Robinson would make the most sense at the number one spot. Robinson is the elder statesmen of the bunch (the only senior amongst sophomores) and the only one to have seen the field for the Wildcats.

I have heard Robinson described as a faster John Hubert, which is high praise. Hubert finished his career last season as the second leading rusher in school history, only behind the incomparable Darren Sproles (Who will act as an honorary coach for the teams this Saturday alongside fellow NFLer Terrence Newman).

Hubert powered his way out of the backfield for three seasons and whoever follows him as the number one guy will have a tough time filling his shoes. Leverett and Jones both redshirt sophomores have a chance to mix it up behind Robinson but as of right now its too early for the coaching staff to tell whether they can make themselves standout and grab a hold of the top spot.
