The newly renovated Bill Snyder Family Stadium holds just over 50,000 fans (although word is North Dakota State Fans have been feverishly attempting to gather as many as possible, convinced the Bison can pull an upset). And for every seat filled, there even more fans at home, following the game on television and radio.  For those not in attendance, we seek the experience of camaraderie virtually. If you’re such a fan, you’ve landed at the right spot. Welcome to the Kansas State Wildcats Live Game Thread.

Well, here we are. The countdown concluded this afternoon and all we have left is the football itself. Kansas State begins the season as a two touchdown favorite, although their opponents return 18 starters from a team that won its second straight FCS national championship last season. Lots of new faces on defense for the Wildcats, and a new quarterback in Jake Waters. Let’s hope the secondary locks down tight on receivers, the defensive line can step up, and Waters demonstrates that he’s the precision passer we’ve been hoping for.

This could be a great game, as both teams are coming out onto the field with something to prove.

I look forward to discussing it with you in the comment section below.

The season is officially underway at 7:30 CT (8:30 ET).
