Hoping to extend their season at least one more game, the Kansas State women’s basketball team continued its march through the WNIT Thursday night by defeating Ball State, 60-48. Brittany Chambers cooled a bit from the offensive explosions she displayed during the Wildcats’ first two rounds (scoring 42 and 28 points, respectively), but still led all players with 23 points. Sophomore Haley Texada continued to serve as the team’s #2 option by chipping in 14. Texada has scored in double figures every game in the WNIT.

While Chambers and Texada did their damage on the offensive end, Chantay Caron pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Wildcats in boards while Chambers had eight. With the victory, the Wildcats face Illinois in the WNIT Elite Eight this Saturday afternoon at four pm.
