Welcome to our humble abode. Pull up a seat and grab a glass for a sip from todays Jug of News. Hit the jump for breaking Big 12 expansion news, the College Football Live guys discussing Kansas State at their roundtable, the ACC striking a new TV deal (too little, too late?), Coach Snyder getting honored by the state of Kansas, and a great article by Curtis Kitchen on James Watson.

Early yesterday evening, I posted a story outlining the Big 12’s plans to expand back to 12 over the summer. The ACC signed a fairly lucrative television contract, but it is probably too little, too late, to prevent potential raids from the Big 12 and/or SEC. The $16-17 million/year each school stands to be paid pales in comparison with the deal struck by the Big 12, as well as the existing TV deals of the SEC, Big Ten, and Pac-12. This is happening people, and we’re going to be very very happy with the eventual schools.

Our football team is receiving favorable coverage. The guys over at ESPN did a Top 20 Round Table, in which they discussed KSU extensively. They love us, and particularly our Heisman-candidate quarterback, as well as our Head Football Sorcerer,  Bill Snyder, who was honored with resolutions from Kansas’s House and Senate, and a proclamation from Gov. Sam Brownback.

Last, but not least, Curtis Kitchen has a piece on the departure of James Watson from the K-State basketball team. It is well worth a read. James Watson is a great kid, and I wish him all the best.
