Welcome to our humble abode. Pull up a seat and grab a glass for a sip from todays Jug of News. Hit the jump for Eric Stonestreet giggles, Big 12 expansion, James Watson reacting to his removal from next year’s basketball roster, Mike Leach going Reddit, and how the case against Penn State pervert Jerry Sandusky and his enablers (particularly those enablers) is falling apart.

Blair Kerkhoff has an interesting column in the “Campus Corner” about Big 12 expansion. In it, he discusses the pending new conference television deal with ESPN/Fox, as well as potential expansion targets: Louisville, Clemson, and Florida State, in particular.

James Watson is not a happy camper, after being informed he will not be on the 2012-13 Wildcat basketball roster. While I understand the decision Bruce Weber made, Watson’s anger is completely justified as well. He never really got a chance to prove himself at KSU, with his only game action coming in a 3 minute stint against Southern Illinois.

Mike Leach is a very funny guy–and a great interview. Even when that “interview” is conducted on Reddit, he is sharp-witted and hilarious, something you rarely see in today’s button-downed coaches. Also, he really really likes Bill Snyder, and thinks it’s possible that he might be a sorcerer.

Last, and most horrid, the Penn State debacle has taken a turn for the worse. Apparently, Mike McQueary just remembered that he saw a young boy being sodomized in 2001, not 2002. That date-switch is particularly important for the two men currently being tried for their part in enabling Sandusky’s horrible perversions. Because of the McQueary’s supposed misremembering, both men may simply walk, given statute of limitation issues. McQueary is, quite simply, disgusting. That he first didn’t bother to call the police when it happened, and then–suddenly–remembered that it was a completely different year, is just beyond the pale. His position in the pantheon of repugnance that is this story is now well-established.

To end on a much lighter–and happier–note, K-State alum Eric Stonestreet (Cameron on ABC’s fantastic show, Modern Family) is a very funny guy.

I laughed–which I needed, after that Sandusky junk.
